Terms of Use

Shiju Calendar provides Chinese idiom meanings, pinyin, English learning aids, examples, a calendar and widgets. Basic content and features are free. VIP adds the features shown on the purchase screen. Before purchasing, review the product name, price, duration, included features and auto-renewal information. Apple's purchase confirmation is authoritative for your transaction.

Use and content

You do not need a Shiju account for basic features. An Apple account is required for purchases and restoration. Use the app lawfully and do not interfere with the service or infringe others' rights.

Definitions, examples and English translations are learning aids, not substitutes for authoritative dictionaries. Character-by-character English hints describe literal elements and do not replace the idiom's overall meaning. Editorial content may need linguistic corrections. Please report errors to the contact address above. This does not exclude our responsibility to make reasonable corrections to known errors.

Common idiom phrases and general language knowledge do not become the app's exclusive property merely by being included. Rights in the interface, original editorial expression and other protected materials are determined by applicable law and the relevant licenses. See Credits and Content Sources for third-party notices. Unless permitted by law or separately authorized, do not copy the app's entire edited library for redistribution.

VIP and service changes

VIP is optional. It is an annual auto-renewing subscription that includes custom layouts and colors beyond the four free basics. It renews under Apple's rules until canceled. Restoring an existing eligible purchase does not charge you again for the same entitlement. Refund requests may be submitted through Apple's Report a Problem service; Apple handles the outcome under its rules and applicable law.

After cancellation, access normally continues until the paid period ends, subject to Apple's transaction status. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Expiration of VIP does not remove access to free basic features.

Features may change due to system versions, devices or necessary maintenance. For material changes to paid access, we will provide reasonable notice and act under applicable rules. These terms do not unilaterally exclude our responsibilities.

Children, disputes and contact

A parent or guardian should help children understand these terms, and permission is required before purchasing. Please contact us first if an issue arises. If a dispute cannot be resolved by discussion, you may seek relief from a competent authority under applicable law. These terms do not exclude statutory consumer rights.

Purchases through Apple are also subject to the applicable Apple Media Services Terms and Apple Standard End User License Agreement.
