Privacy Policy

Version date: September 7, 2026. Status: a pre-release policy preview, effective once the final publisher details are confirmed.

Operator: the Shiju Calendar developer (project attribution; the official publisher will be identified by the App Store seller information). Privacy contact: support@dododo.ai.

Shiju Calendar provides local idiom learning, a calendar and widgets, with optional paid VIP features. Basic features are free and do not require a Shiju account. The app does not include advertising, third-party behavioral analytics or cross-app tracking SDKs.

Local data

The app stores favorites, custom layouts, appearance choices and cached VIP access on your device. The app and its widgets share necessary settings through an App Group on the same device. The idiom library is bundled with the app. We do not build user profiles or send these local settings to our own server. System backups may include app data, subject to your device settings and Apple's policies.

Purchases and Apple services

VIP purchases, purchase restoration and subscription verification use Apple StoreKit. Apple processes Apple account, payment and transaction information under its own policies. The app reads product information, verified transaction results and access expiration dates to provide purchased features. It does not receive your full payment card details or ask for your Apple account password. Purchasing and restoring access require an internet connection to Apple services; not every feature operates entirely offline.

Permissions and the website

The app does not request access to contacts, location, your photo library or microphone. You add system widgets yourself. When you open the support website or an Apple page, those services may process IP addresses, browser information and necessary access logs. We do not add advertising or behavioral tracking scripts to the support website.

The website is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes IP addresses, traffic and system configuration information for delivery, routing and security. Processing and retention depend on service settings, necessary business purposes and legal obligations; see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy. We do not actively export visitor logs to create personal profiles.

Your choices

You can change settings in the app or delete the app through iOS to clear its local data. Widgets in the same App Group or system backups may retain data and may need to be handled through the relevant system controls. Deleting the app does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in Settings → your name → Subscriptions.

Support email is forwarded through Cloudflare Email Routing to our Gmail support inbox. These providers process information needed to deliver your message. If you contact us, we use your email address and message to respond to your request, not for advertising. Please do not send identity documents, payment passwords or other unnecessary sensitive information. Contact information is retained only as needed to handle your request and meet legal obligations. You can request access, correction or deletion through the email address above.

Children and policy updates

Children should use the app with a parent or guardian's guidance and obtain permission before making purchases. We do not actively create children's profiles. If the way we process data changes, we will update this policy and obtain consent where required by law before new processing begins.

See the Apple Privacy Policy for Apple's practices. This policy does not limit your statutory rights.
